Zwart Paard Studio is an independent sound design studio, located in the center of Brussels. Their work includes both Belgian and international film productions. They wanted to set themselves apart from other sound studios by choosing an unconventional name, inspired by the street they are located on: Zwart Paardstraat.

The assignment was to do the same with the logo: to not use typical imagery of sound. ‘Zwart paard’ translates to black horse, which is featured in the logo by integrating a black horse into the letter P. This also created a cool secondary logo which can be used for merchandise. To wrap up this small branding project, some images of the studio were captured. The moody, warm and unpolished style of photography perfectly aligns with their distinctive identity.
